Roses & Thorns featured Domonique Foxworth (former NFL athlete) and his wife, Ashley, a lawyer and stay-at-home mom. I was tasked to introduce topics and concepts that a couple who knows each other’s position on literally everything, could dig into and spark new debates.

My solution was to throw ideas around in the green room to see what would stick and this conversation was the result.

I also introduced cue cards, ground-breaking I know, but it gave Foxworth a through-line when the conversation went sideways and made segues feel intentional instead of accidental.

The result was a segment with enough structure to stay on topic and enough looseness to be genuinely entertaining. It built a loyal weekly audience and performed consistently on social.
